HOW TO RECOVER YOUR
CORRUPTED HARD DISK
There are several ways to recover your hard disk from
corruption that are affected due to the
autorun .exe .inf or some other
virus.These problems mainly occur due to sharing your
personal external hard disk or pen drive
with your friend or when you download files from unsecured sites.
Because of the above
mentioned activities the problems that occur are
- files in the HDD will be lost.
- folders in the HDD turned to shortcuts.
- or any other extra flie will appear in each and every folder.
STEP TO RECOVER YOUR
HARD DISK:
STEP-1.if it is a simple problem try keeping the show the hidden
files radio button on.
Start--> control panel--> folder options-->switch to view tab-->click show hidden files
and folder radio button. If it is
not working move to the next step..

METHOD 1:
Copy the below given text and paste in a text file and save it as (file name) .bat format
Eg:
recovery.bat click save

attrib -h -r -s -a

attrib -h -r -s -a

attrib -h -r -s -a

attrib -h -r -s -a

plug your USB device
o
Go to Run -->type
cmd (right clickand click run as
administrator) -->
Go to the particular Drive (eg: G:\) from where you want to remove autorun.inf
o
Type "attrib -r -a -s -h autorun.inf"
o
Now type "del autrun.inf"
o
Just remove your USB device after that plug-in
again and check it.
METHOD 3:
To Restore Hidden Files and Folders
1. click Start -->type CMD [right clickand click run as
administrator] or Goto Start --> all programs--> accessories --> command prompt
2. To view the hidden file, go the particular
drive first (eg D: )
3. 3. use the attrib command
attrib –s –h –r g:/*.* /s /d
(Here
you need to change the directory if needed)
Or
attrib -s -h -a -r /d /s

- S means system file attribute
- A means archive file attribute
- R means read-only file attribute
- /S means process matching current folder and all subfolders
- /D means process folders
